Hen's Teeth Family: Wisdom Cries in the Streets

· ·

One of Hen's Teeth's frequent collaborators, Eddie Otchere, is curating a new exhibition in Photofusion, Brixton, South London.

'Wisdom Cries in the Streets' is the first UK show of noted New York street photographer Khalik Allah presented alongside the work of Peckham street photographer Adama Jalloh.

Allah was once termed “Harlem’s official street photographer,” by Time.com and his work explores the intersection of street photography and environmental portraiture. His subjects are framed within the landscape of life on the margins, defined by sidewalks, bus lanes and cladding.

Meanwhile Adama Jalloh’s document working class communities and post-colonial migration creating an alternative viewpoint to the everyday perceptions of South London's multicultural communities.

The exhibition will run until the 23rd August at Photofusion, 17A Electric Lane, London, SW9 8LA
