We're proud to announce the release of our latest print; "Garuda' by Marie Varley.
Marie is an artist and printmaker based in Dublin City. She graduated from Limerick School of Art & Design in 2011, where she specialised in Fine Art Painting. After graduating she moved to Edinburgh where she spent 3 years developing her skills in screenprinting. She has exhibited in both solo and group shows in the UK and Ireland.
Her current 'matchbox' series of work is influenced by a set of matchboxes which were originally commissioned by a Dutch supermarket in the 1950's. By re-appropriating the designs on these matchboxes, Marie's work celebrates the once romantic notion of air travel. She has created her 'Garuda' screenprint exclusively for Hen's Teeth Prints.
